I’m not a bride, but a wedding photographer. I worked with Flossy and Dossy on multiple occasions and there’s no one else like Wendy. The passion, the high standards, being genuine, and in love with her profession. She creates magic, not just dresses. Absolutely worth recommending.
I came to Wendy for my first (and only) wedding dress try on session. Afterwards I didn’t need or want to go to any other shops! Wendy was so kind and friendly, and was great at reading my body language to advise on what she thought I looked comfortable in. We picked elements of a few dresses to create my unique dress, and she completely understood what I was going for. Together we created a dreamy Florence Welch/Stevie Nicks dress, complete with coloured stars. I felt completely comfortable with Wendy, and loved visiting her. She understood who I am and what I was looking for, and so I let her have creative reign over the dress! She even made me a mini veil and a tie-the-knot piece of fabric. I am so excited to wear my dress in just over 1 week, and I know my husband is going to love it. Can’t wait to see what outfit we create out of the dress once the day is over.
From first contact with Wendy, I was completely reassured she would make my wedding dress experience so special. I was a very nervous older bride to be and was dreading the dress but Wendy was a dream to work with! From her first sketch of a idea to the final fitting, the journey was so full of care, kindness, love for her job, enthusiasm, exceptional skill and talent and professionalism! Wendy is a dress making magician! If I could give her more than 5 stars I absolutely would! I have worked with her on many weddings and photoshoots so when it came to my own wedding there was no one else I would have wanted to work with. She is so talented and throughout the process had lots of great suggestions from my pretty open brief and an amazing eye for detail. She didn't bat an eyelid at my outlandish suggestions and totally got my vision. Every fitting or consultation she was so friendly and reassuring and the finished piece was the most amazing thing I have ever worn. I got so many comments on it at our wedding. I absolutely love it and want to wear it forever! Thank you Wendy for making the most amazing garment I will ever own.
I cannot thank Wendy enough for creating my perfect wedding dress. From the design itself, to the quality of the material, to the time ensuring it fits just right. I couldn't have asked for anything better. You cannot buy what Wendy offers in a normal bridal shop. She is special and I feel so lucky and privileged that she made my dress. From a pricing point, I think she is extremely reasonable, if anything, I think I got a complete bargain (especially as the fittings were included). I couldn't imagine getting married in anything else. Thank you again Wendy
