The best scones in the area. Freshly baked, served with clotted cream and jam, with friendly service in comfortable surroundings. Nobody's fussed if you arrive in full walking gear. Highly recommended.
We stayed for one night and had a lovely experience. Our room was spacious, with beautiful views overlooking the gardens at the back of the hotel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, allowing us to enjoy a great night’s sleep. There was plenty of wardrobe space to hang our clothes, and the bathroom was well equipped with a generously sized shower and a separate bath. We dined in the hotel restaurant, and the meal was delicious. There was an excellent selection of dishes with great flavours. I also appreciated the staff’s recommendation of a local gin, which was a lovely touch. After dinner, we enjoyed a quick stroll through the gardens, which provided the perfect way to wind down before heading back to our room. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Breakfast the next morning was equally delightful, with a good variety of options. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel in a charming location, and I’d love to return for another visit.
We had a lovely family lunch at Coul House. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food excellent. The kids were also thoroughly entertained by the easy to play golf, and the brilliant fairy walk. Thanks to all.
We stayed for the one night, to celebrate our joint 60th birthdays. Lovely time had by all, we stayed in a superior double , and had an absolutely beautiful, melt in the mouth steak for dinner. All the staff deserve praise, thank you all very much.
Called in for lunch, a return visit for us as we had our Wedding here in 2016. Same owner and friendly staff all remembered us. The food was excellent and we decided that we would return whilst on holiday in the area. Took our friends for an evening meal and the food was really good and we all enjoyed our evening immensely.
