With 25 years experience in the craft, I make clothes in silk or natural fibres and sort out garments bought elsewhere that need attention. Dressmaking is a time-consuming and technical activity, I need at least nine clear weeks for design and make. My website is packed with ideas & photos of my work: www.dressu.co.uk I make and alter all kinds of garments, even in leather, lace or fur, often for weddings. I even rejuvenate vintage clothes. I make strapless dresses that hold you up. The best natural fibres feel and drape beautifully, have pleasing colours, are light, strong and not sweaty. So, I avoid making clothes in synthetics.
