Looked at the price of the van on Thursday, £45ish pounds, came to book it on Saturday the price had gone up £20 for the same van, came to pick the van up on Sunday and the man didn't really care.
The van they gave me shouldn't in my opinion have been rented out, 1/ there was a tyre pressure gauge missing, (it hadn't been fitted when a tyre was replaced apparently), the man fobbed it off as if it wasn't an issue but you can fail an MOT if they aren't working... 2/ it was 1200 miles overdue for a service, there could have been anything wrong with it, and there was.
The heating didn't work and the temp gauge was up and down like a yo-yo. I only had 3 short troops to do and only did less than 70 miles, I wouldn't have wandered to do a long journey.
The brake proximity light kept coming on, even on empty road, this initially forced me to stop on the hard shoulder to Google the RED triangular light, not a safest thing you want to do.
And finally when I was about half a mile away from their office a Yellow engine warning lamp came on.
I think this must have been one of the worst vans in their fleet and they thought they'd just dump it on me.
When I mentioned these issues, (all of which would have probably been resolved if it had been serviced/maintained properly), they apologised but no mention of a refund or anything. I then started that I didn't think I would be using their services again and they said that they do have some new Transits in the fleet.... Well why wasn't I given one??
The service was efficient enough, but I didn't go there for service I went there for a van..
Booked car online as a foreign visitor. Fair prices.
Day after, a nice guy ( Isaac ) contacted me to advise me which documents to bring due to non UK citizenship. Nice that they cared, they could just say to read terms and conditions.
On arrival (10am) they were quite busy, but I received a better car than I originally booked.
No pushy tactics to buy extra insurance cover either. Booking lady was very polite.
They don't supply Baby and booster seats, so sort this out in advance if you need one.
Returning car was quick.
Overall experience- very good.
Staff were polite. Other than that, I wasn't given the van that i had reserved and when the van was shown to me it was absolutely filthy. I had to accept the vehicle as I needed the it for work. The van needed cleaning throughout the cab. I'll never use this company again. Such a let down.
Went here for a job, on my first day, I was asked to wait for my training to begin, over an hour and a half later still no one spoke to me, I wasn't offered a drink or anything so I left. I emailed the loverly lady who hired me to express my feelings and had no response. Not the first impression I was hoping for.
Rented a 7.5 ton to move a friend who’s moving company let them down.
Excellent service from County especially Brent who went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle was ready for us on that date.
Back to county after 2 years to rent a van this time , great customer care service provided from the guy on the counter ( Issac I think his name is ) very helpful and got us a vehicle the same day unlike some other companies.
