Wedvisa Refund Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Your legal rights
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This policy explains how those rights apply to Wedvisa. It does not replace them. If something we sell is not as described, not fit for purpose, or not of satisfactory quality, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, repeat performance, or refund.
This policy should be read with our Terms and Conditions and Payment Policy.
2. 14-day cooling-off period
For most paid Wedvisa services bought at a distance (online), you may cancel within 14 days of the contract without giving a reason.
If you ask us to start a digital service during those 14 days, we will ask you to acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed. If you cancel after we have started but before it is fully performed, we may deduct an amount for the service already provided.
The cooling-off right does not usually apply to:
- the free couple planner (there is no charge to refund);
- digital content you have started using after giving the acknowledgement above;
- cash gifts and wish list contributions, which are payments to the couple, not a purchase from Wedvisa;
- contracts you make directly with a wedding supplier.
3. Supplier subscriptions
You can cancel a paid supplier plan at any time. There is no cancellation fee. After you cancel, the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your listing returns to the free tier.
If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period and you have not used paid features, we will refund the subscription in full. If you have used paid features during that period, we may refund only the unused portion, or refuse a cooling-off refund where the service has been fully performed with your acknowledgement.
We do not refund unused time after the cooling-off period for a period that has already started, unless UK law requires it or we choose to as a gesture of goodwill.
4. Cash gifts and wish list contributions
A digital cash gift is a payment to the couple. The couple is the merchant of record. Wedvisa does not offer in-app refunds of gifts.
If you sent a gift by mistake, contact the couple first. If you cannot resolve it, email hello@wedvisa.com and we will help where we reasonably can. Refunds, if agreed, are made from the couple’s connected Stripe account. Card chargebacks are also settled against that account.
Offline gifts (cash, cheque, or bank transfer given in person) never pass through Wedvisa, so there is nothing for us to refund.
5. Bookings with suppliers
If you book a venue, photographer, or other wedding service, your contract is with that supplier. Their own cancellation and refund terms apply. Wedvisa is not a party to that contract and cannot refund supplier fees on their behalf. We can help you get in touch with the supplier if you booked through the platform.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@wedvisa.com from the address on your Wedvisa account. Include the date of the payment, the amount, and why you are asking for a refund. We aim to reply within two business days.
Where a refund is due, we will return it to the original payment method within 14 days of agreeing the refund, as required by UK consumer law.
